Microsoft Outlook 97
Here is how to configure the mail options:

  1. Open the Outlook 97/98 program by clicking on "Start", "Programs", "Internet Explorer", then move the cursor to "Outlook 97". (or "Outlook 98" depending on your version)

  2. Click "Tools" on the "File Menu" then move your cursor to "Services".

  3. If you do not already have a profile for Internet Expressway, click "Add" to the right, then move the cursor to "Mail". Settings are as follows... (Not nessesarily in this order)

    Name: Mr. John Doe (or what you would like to have in the "From:" field)
    Organization: John Doe's Kitchen Repair (ie: Your business or company name)
    Email Address: username@mail.ieway.com (ie: jdoe@mail.ieway.com)
    Reply to Address: username@ieway.com (ie: jdoe@ieway.com)
    Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.ieway.com
    Incoming POP3 Server: mail.ieway.com
    Account Name: username (ie: jdoe) NO CAPITAL "P".
    Password: password (ie: password) Same password as used to connect.


  4. If you already have an E-mail Profile setup, you can click the profile that refers to Internet Expressway (ie: mail.ieway.com, IEway Mail, John's Mail) then click the "Properties" button to the right. Click the "Server" tab. Settings are as follows...
    Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.ieway.com
    Incoming POP3 Server: mail.ieway.com


  5. Click the round radio button "Log On Using". Settings are as follows...
    Account Name: username (ie: jdoe) NO CAPITAL "P".
    Password: password (ie: password) Same password as used to connect.


  6. Click the "General" tab. Settings are as follows...
    Name: Mr. John Doe (or what you would like to have in the "From:" field)
    Organization: John Doe's Kitchen Repair (ie: Your business or company name)
    Email Address: username@mail.ieway.com (ie: jdoe@ieway.com)
    Reply to Address: username@ieway.com (ie: jdoe@ieway.com)


  7. Click "Okay" at the bottom until you return to the Mail window. Close the program and then restart and your new settings will be in place to send and recieve E-Mail.
